Connect | Connect provides a means for each individual to create and maintain a personal profile page, giving them the opportunity to supplement base information with a view to promoting aspects of themselves that they are comfortable to share with others.
Connect has fully integrated search facilities and a powerful news engine, that promote content held across the entire Addept Connect suite that is relevant to you.
Addept Communities | Communities provide a means of creating online spaces that facilitate focussed dialog for groups of people. Each Community can control its own access model and the extent of visibility of content to a non-member audience. These facilities include document uploads, polls, events, a discussion forum and wiki.
Addept Forums | Forums are an integrated tool that provide discussion forum facilities. Users are granted access to the forums based on Community membership and role. Visibility and/or editorial access to specific forums created within this space can be managed by administrators of the owning Community.
Forum posts can be read and replied too via email.
Addept Wikis | Users are granted access to the wiki pages based on Community membership and role. Visibility and/or editorial access to specific wiki pages created within each Wiki is managed by administrators of the owning Community.
The Addept Connect Framework underpins the suite by providing all the shared and common services. It handles user authentication, controlling user access to the entire system. Addept Connect Providers enables base information to be drawn from a variety of sources and can be configured to automatically synchronise with external data. Synchronisation of groups can also be scheduled.
